Healthcare as a share of GDP in Pakistan is among the lowest in the world, and routine diagnostics are often not available to the country’s poor.
Solution and Impact
Through financing to the Evercare Health Fund, DFC is supporting the expansion of Islamabad Diagnostics, the first business in the country to provide the full spectrum of imaging and lab services under one roof. With a team of radiologists and pathologists and more than 75 branches across 25 cities in Pakistan, the business is expanding access to the tests that will promote early disease diagnosis, which is a key factor in better health outcomes.
