How to Submit a Complaint
The IAM helps address concerns, complaints, and conflicts involving environmental or social impacts of DFC-supported projects. Individuals, communities, or their authorized representatives who believe they have been—or may be—affected by a DFC-supported project may submit a request for IAM services.
To submit a complaint:
- Download and complete the IAM Request Form. Include as much relevant information as possible about the project, the environmental or social concerns, and the people or communities affected.
- Submit your completed form and any supporting documents. You may submit your request by email or mail:

What Happens Next
After receiving your complaint, the IAM will review it to determine whether it meets the requirements for consideration. The IAM will then communicate why the complaint is or is not eligible for consideration, the reason for its decision, and any next steps.
Matters Outside the IAM’s Scope
The IAM does not consider requests concerning corruption or criminal activities. To report concerns involving fraud, waste, abuse, corruption, or other potential criminal activity, please contact the DFC Office of Inspector General.
