Dev Jagadesan is Acting Chief Executive Officer, and Deputy General Counsel for the U.S. International Development Finance Institution (DFC). Mr. Jagadesan has extensive experience in government and has held several leadership positions in the U.S. Government over his career.
Dev joined DFC’s predecessor, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, in 2001 and in his current position, provides legal support and guidance to all aspects of DFC’s operations and mission. Mr. Jagadesan also serves as the Designated Agency Ethics Official responsible for DFC’s ethics program and compliance.
Previously, Mr. Jagadesan served as the Acting Inspector General and Counsel to the Inspector General at the U.S. International Trade Commission. Prior to that Mr. Jagadesan served several years in the U.S. Army Judge Advocates General Corp rising to the rank of Major. Mr. Jagadesan served in various legal roles in the Army including serving as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney.
Mr. Jagadesan holds a BA from The Catholic University of America and a JD from the Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America.
