Acting Vice President, Development Policy
Anne Lesser is the Acting Vice President of Development Policy at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and a senior member of DFC’s leadership team. In her role, Anne leads a team that measures the expected developmental impact of proposed projects and reviews all projects to ensure they are environmentally and socially sustainable and respect human rights. She also helps lead strategic priorities for the agency including 2X, DFC’s women’s economic empowerment initiative as well as the Agency’s strategy for the Western Hemisphere. She served in the same capacities at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) before its transformation to DFC.
Previously, Anne worked in the U.S. House of Representatives where she served as Legislative Assistant and Director of Outreach for a Member of Congress in Florida. She also co-founded a D.C. consulting firm and worked on several political campaigns focusing on voter outreach and fundraising.
Anne is originally from the Space Coast of Florida and grew up watching space shuttle launches from her backyard. She attended the University of Florida where she studied history, political science, and Spanish.
