Marques Coleman is Vice President of the Strategic Working Office for Rapid Deployment (SWORD) at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). In this role, he oversees a team of senior investment professionals deploying capital across DFC’s full range of products and geographies. He leads high-impact investments that advance U.S. foreign policy, development, and national security priorities, with deep expertise in originating, structuring, and executing complex transactions across industries.
Before joining DFC, Mr. Coleman was with Apollo Global Management’s flagship private equity fund, where he evaluated investments across multiple industries. During his tenure at Apollo, he served on the Board of Directors of ADT Inc. (NYSE: ADT), a leading provider of security and smart home solutions, and on the Board of Directors of the parent entity of Brightspeed, a telecommunications company. He previously served as Vice President at Veritas Capital, where he evaluated and structured private equity transactions focused on government and regulated end markets.
Mr. Coleman holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Commerce, Organizations and Entrepreneurship from Brown University.
